Graduate Program in Neotropical Biodiversity (PPG-BN)
Graduate Program in Neotropical Biodiversity, of the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA), was approved by Capes in October 2016 and its approval was confirmed in November that year. The activities of the Program began in the second semester of 2017.
The main objectives of the course are:
- To develop human resources in the field of biodiversity with a broad, critical and updated perspective regarding the issue of describing biodiversity, being able to investigate its ecological relations and evolutionary history, as well as evaluating the basis for its conservation;
- To develop Masters with a solid and integrated educational background in ecology, systematics and biological evolution in order for them to work in research and higher education teaching in Brazil and other countries in Latin America, with a special relevance concerning students from the Western region of Southern Brazilian states and neighboring countries.
