The Master’s Degree course in Applied Economics is divided into two independent lines of research, which reflect the academic qualification of its professors:

Line 1 - Macroeconomics and Development
The main themes approached in this line of research are macroeconomic policies and economic development; international economics; monetary economics; theories of economic growth and development; generation, evolution and distribution of income; and regional economy.

Line 2 - Social Welfare Economics
Studies which approach the theme of Social Welfare Economics are key to overcoming human deficiency and needs and also the enclaves created from the process of economic growth. This line of research will debate themes such as: health and education economics, crime, poverty and income inequality in Latin America.
